How We Finished This Portland Basement

We set the tone with industrial-style flooring and European frameless cabinetry in cool gray and then finished it off with bright, airy vibes. Picture a white bathtub, clean white tiles, and layered lighting, giving enough light for a quick mirror check.

Design Details

In the bedroom, a jaw-dropping black-and-white horse mural is a dramatic focal point while cleverly disguising an electrical panel. To further maximize space, we designed a floating desk area tucked beside a structural post, complete with hidden lighting and a magnetic chalkboard, because everyone needs one of those.

We also added built-in shelving, which provides ample storage, making the space as practical as it is stylish. The result is basement improvements that create the ultimate hangout spot for the resident teenager.
