WHAT’S IT GOING TO COST?
Your project cost varies depending on materials and installations. The best way to manage the cost is to manage the design-todeliver scope and define the value you want. When working with Creekstone, we will go over our time tested approach with you first. After our initial consultation and collaborative meetings defining your design needs, we’ll define a plan for installations, materials AND looks to meet a reasonable budget.
Reasonable for some is the “market rate” and for others it is not over paying for the desired quality. Shopping around with a rough concept and getting estimates is a process many buyers go through. So, what’s the difference between an estimate and a proposal? Well, an estimate cannot be verified. However a proposal is a guarantee to do a very specific scope of work for a specific amount.
When getting a proposal or an estimate specifics are important. They can affect a budget by 50% or more—think farmhouse sink ($700) vs. under mount sink ($350). Or stainless steel undermount sink ($350) vs. porcelain undermount sink ($800).
Whether you decide to shop around and get many estimates or work with a few companies to get more defined proposals, we recommend confirming the “market rate” with the annual Portland remodeling cost report.
Remodeling is not simply about creating a more pleasing home; it’s about creating a more pleasing life. At Creekstone we love making the process as delightful as your new home.
